Integrity Toys Introduces the FR:16 Doll Line at IDEX

Integrity Toys have unveiled an unprecedented number of dolls and doll lines at this weekends IDEX show. Amongst the usual Fashion Royalty, Poppy Parker and Nu Fantasy dolls was the brand new FR:16 line of 16″ fashion dolls. The 1/4 scale doll fraternity, as well as enthusiastic Integrity Toys fans, have long anticipated the unveiling of the FR:16 line which is IT’s latest attempt at the 16″ doll market.  Their last line, the AdventGuards, a line of cutting edge 16″ dolls were a moderate success which eventually fizzled out. The FR:16 dolls take their name from their smaller 12″ sisters and do attempt to tie the lines together by putting them in the same story line universe. These gals run a fashion mag called “The Wall” which, as expected, is a runaway success and a must have for any self-respecting fashionista.

There are 4 dolls in all in the début line in a range of ethnicities and face sculpts. My personal favourite is the gorgeous Latino Freja Mossimo who, according to the publicity lore, is art director for “The Wall” magazine. Her outfit is possibly not the most inspiring (all the girls outfits are just OK) but her sculpt is a chiseled beauty and her accessories and shoes are wonderful. Needless to say I have made my pre-order!

A thoroughly modern comeback

Integrity Toys make their debut at IDEX this year and one of the first on the list of their revelations for 2011 is a sneak peak at the comeback of one of their favourite characters Veronique Perrin. Entitled Modern Comeback, she is a basic lingerie dolls and comes in both blonde and dark hair styles with co-ordinating basques. Both are due in March 2011 as IT Direct exclusives priced at $90 via W Club lottery.

“Veronique looks stunning as she wears a one piece black lingerie outfit with matching black stockings for her debut.  Her long, raven  hair (rooted) falls gently around her shoulders.  Veronique wears stud earrings and has matching black shoes.  Veronique is back and ready to get into the game!”

“This version of Veronique compliments the raven haired doll perfectly!  Blonde and beautiful, Veronique has an identical set of lingerie, only her outfit is in black and pink colors with black stockings.  This blonde bombshell also wears stud earrings.  Veronique sets her sights on leading W Cosmetics into another fabulous year!”

Antoinette / Doll Shows / IDEX / Robert Tonner

Tonner reveals Antoinette at IDEX

At the 2009 IDEX Doll Show in Florida Tonner Dolls unveiled a brand new fashion doll to their already swollen roster called Antoinette. She is 16″ tall and has 15 points of articulation. I must say I am a little disappointed mostly because when I saw the name Antoinette announced on the Tonner website at the end of January I rather imagined Marie Antoinette the rudely deceased Queen of France! Instead we get a rather bland looking Teen Model type and judging by the distinct lack of new dolls in Tonner’s signature fashion doll Tyler Wentworth’s 2009 range she is the focus of Roberts current attentions. Maybe Tyler is biding her time until her marriage to Matt O’Neill takes place in June this year at the Tonner Collectors Convention.
