This Saturday at the Italian Doll Convention in Milan I had the pleasure of spending some time with Charles and Desmond from Superdoll Collectables. I was further sent into overdrive when they very kindly allowed me to photograph a prototype doll. Shame I only had my iPhone to hand!  I am not allowed to give away too many details, but amusingly Charles said that this doll’s look reminded him “of a macaroon”!

Well whatever she looks like, I’m sure you will agree she is stunning!

Yesterday saw the second of the Superdoll Collectables Ultra Vicious Dolls, Cadenza, go on sale. However within a couple of hours she was sold out and it must be said that I am glad The Boys are keeping dolls online for a couple of days rather than removing them as soon as all the girls are sold… So helpful for those of us who miss seeing what all the fuss is about!

Cadenza is a Voltaire sculpt “Wearing a figure hugging dropneck sequined dress. Rose coloured eyeshadow with black eyeliner, rose blushed lips. Brown stiletto heels and matching clutch completes her look. Accessories include handcuff earrings, super-visor and glam-lipmask”.

And tomorrow we can look forward to a new outfit: Snow Panther!

Yesterday Superdoll Collectables unleashed the first doll in the pre Christmas Ultra Vicious line which were featured in the last issue of Haute Doll magazine. Her name is POND and she is a gorgeous red headed glamazon! She is a Venus clone and here is the low down:

“Wearing a figure hugging sequin dress and olive wool overcoat this red head beauty is ready for anything. Lime green eyes with black eyeliner, blueberry blushed mauve lips and smokey green eye shadow. Metallic and olive pvc heels and matching bag completes her look. Accessories include handcuff earrings, super-visor and glam-lipmask”

Next up will be Cadenza who may well be on my Christmas want list!

For Halloween 2012 the Superdoll Collectables Boys have really spoiled us in the form of a gorgeous Sybarite named Macrame. Spoting the rarely seen, but popular, Voltaire sculpt and in suitably spooktastic garb, including killer boots,  she is already bringing Superdoll fans out in a cold sweat of anticipation prior to her release on Halloween tomorrow.

She will come in a limited release of 100 so be sure to hurry to avoid disappointment!

This is the first Abble Lane doll release since the glittering announcement at the Milan Fashion Doll Festival earlier in the year. She will come in a limited edition of 50 and comes either with open or closed mouth sculpt!

Abbe Lane was a 50s and 60s singer and actress, described at the time as, ”the swingingest sexpot in show business”. How appropriate then that Superdoll work their magic on her likeness!

Today the eagerly awaited Champ_Paq, the accessory pack designed specifically for Go Go Champ Dionysis, arrived! For those that know me, and my love of all things accessory,  you will understand just how excited an array of accessories by Superdoll Collectables can make me! Boob tubes. shorts, space blanket, laurel wreath, opera gloves, Godiva wigs and a magnum of champagne are all present and correct. Not to mention the interchangeable hands! Oh, still my beating heart!

Although I must say I have been afraid to use the hands this far, as I have no idea how to change Syb hands without experiencing an overwhelming fear of doing some serious damage! If anyone knows how do please let me know, I will be eternally grateful!

Anyhow here are some quickly put together pics. I plan on doing a lot more over the weekend!

Today the sun was in the sky and it was time to put Dioysis in font of the camera…

Imagine how excited I was to arrive home this evening to find that Dionysis, who was released and ordered only on Friday after all, was waiting with a kindly neighbour (thank the lord for kindly neighbours!). Here are my hastily taken ‘in the box’ pics before the light faded. I will take more once we are better acquainted and the light is right.

Needless to say she is wonderful. What do you think?

It has been a busy time lately for Superdoll Collectables, what with their recent move of premises, the stunning Abe Lane dolls, the Milan Convention event and the final releases in the Fashion Police line. Not to mention the announcement of the second Superdoll Convention ‘Youthquake’ taking place this autumn. So it came as a wonderful surprise that they had a little something up their sleeves to mark the upcoming Olympics in a way that only they could. a For those of you who have seen the August edition of Haute Doll magazine you will have seen a rather large hint in the form of their back page ad!

So today saw the release of this new girl, Dionysis, and her array of fabulous sporting accessories! Of course this is Superdoll, so when I say sporting I don’t mean the usual functional track wear; you are unlikely to see many Olympic Athletes competing this year in sequin boob tubes and multicoloured go-go shorts! I must say I have been very excited by Dionysis since I saw her in HD as I have been keen to add a versetile basic Syb to my collection in order for redressing, re wigging and play and Dionysis really fits the bill. What with her neutral make up and flocked dark brown hair. The accessory pack deserves special mention too, not least of all because it has sold out, but for it contains the holy of holies: a set of interchangeable hands! Yay!

The latest Superdoll_Collectables collection is Fashion Police and yesterday the first doll in the line was put up for sale on the Superfrock website. Her name is KATANA and she is a ‘criminologist’. KATANA comes in the Fogu sculpt and is rather unusual indeed. I love the wig and the face-up but am yet undecided on the outfit. What are your thoughts?
